Join a community of people who care

By combining the power of tech with clinical excellence, we’re on a mission to increase access to the highest quality mind health support.

We’re always looking to grow our neurodevelopmental and talk therapy teams.

Why join ProblemShared

Our approach is informed by the NHS care model

Our CEO and founder, Nick, is a practising NHS Accident and Emergency doctor. Over time, he has witnessed the rise in untreated mental health cases due to reduced services and long wait lists. This urgent need for more accessible, high-quality support inspired him and his wife, Tika, to create ProblemShared.

Our decision-making is guided by NHS principles of best practice. Many of our clinicians have led neurodevelopmental services within the NHS and have substantial experience in authoring protocols, conducting assessments, diagnosing, prescribing, and offering post-diagnostic support.

We ensure that our reports and recommendations include the most up-to-date and relevant advice for clients, pointing them towards local resources, community groups, apps, and services, including those from the NHS and trusted charitable organisations.

We’re regulated

ProblemShared is registered with the
Care Quality Commission (CQC), which means our neurodevelopmental service is regularly monitored, inspected, and held to high standards.

The CQC ensures that healthcare providers like us are delivering safe, effective services, so you can feel confident you're in good hands.

What does ‘mind health’ mean?

We believe language is a powerful way to demonstrate respect and provide neuroaffirming care. The term "neurodiversity" highlights the natural variety of human minds - how we think, process, and solve problems differently. Neurodiversity is something to celebrate, not fix.

While many people seek diagnoses, medication, or support through our platform, our mission is to affirm neurodivergent identities while helping individuals to navigate any challenges they face.

That’s why we coined the term “mind health”. It encompasses both mental health and neurodevelopmental care, reflecting the holistic support we offer in a way no existing term could.

Our values

Our values are the foundation of who we are and what we do.

These guiding principles shape our behaviours, decisions, and relationships - as individuals and as a wider clinical community.

Human-centric

Everything we do is focused on improving lives. We embrace the difference in each human being and in doing so, help them to thrive.

Excellence

We provide exceptional care. Full stop.

Innovative

In the way we work, in our service delivery, and in the technology that underpins what we do. We use data as a force for good, driving our efforts to provide personalised care.

Collaborative

We forge meaningful partnerships with like-minded organisations and people to deliver our vision.

Generous

We share our knowledge, time and resources with the ProblemShared community to create the building blocks for an empowering environment where everyone feels supported.

Leading the way in mind health

All of our clinical staff must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and evidence continued professional development as recommended by HCPC and the British Psychological Society (BPS) to be considered for a position at ProblemShared.

Our assessors work closely with Clinical Advisory Groups (CAG) and complete regular training sessions to ensure their methodologies and approaches keep pace with the latest trends and innovations in neurodevelopmental care.

Many members of our team have led neurodevelopmental services in the NHS and are experienced both in authoring protocols and carrying out remote assessments, diagnosis, and post-diagnostic support.

Talk therapy team

Our team of talk therapy practitioners are a diverse network of fully qualified psychotherapists, counsellors, and psychologists, each bringing years of experience and expertise in their respective fields. Over 30 languages are represented across the team, making our practitioners uniquely equipped to support clients from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

What we offer

We offer a broad spectrum of therapeutic approaches tailored to meet the individual needs of our clients.

From Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), our practitioners take the time to understand your unique situation and recommend the support that suits you best.

All are thoroughly vetted by us, registered with the appropriate professional bodies, and highly trained in delivering effective online assessments.

What our clients have to say

We are proud to have supported thousands of clients on their mind health journey.

“We are delighted with the neurodiversity assessments ProblemShared have provided for our students. ProblemShared’s communication has been excellent, as has the standard of assessments and ease of process. ProblemShared have always been quick to provide support and guidance where needed, which has been a great help to our service”

Psychoeducation attendee

“My counsellor was a skilled CBT professional who helped equip me with practical exercises to overcome the issues in question. The counselling I received has enabled me to continue with my studies and regain my confidence moving forward.“

Student

“Danny is such a good therapist. The first professional I have spoken to that I felt was actually equipped to help me…very approachable and considerate. Would recommend to anyone but especially LGBTQ+ people as I felt welcome, safe and accepted.“

Student

“I have multiple diagnoses for mental health – the counsellor understood this and took it into account during my sessions. Accessibility outside normal hours was brilliant. Definitely considered leaving/deferring without the mental support received.“
